LH AfricaThe AIT (Academia-Industry Training) call in Blockchain and AI is an opportunity for Swiss Blockchain and AI Innovators to explore opportunities for their technology in South Africa and other countries in Sub-Saharan Africa
Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence technology have the potential to transform society and create new opportunities across all industries. This potential is global, and there is thus an opportunity for collaboration, validation and market entry for Swiss ideas in South Africa and vice versa.
The Academia Industry Training (AIT) in Blockchain and AI is a focused program to bring this potential closer to reality. Together with South African Partners, including the Technology Innovation Agency (TIA), the Swiss Leading House Africa is creating a tailored program to give Swiss startups an opportunity to connect to the South African innovation ecosystem.
The program is anchored by a visit to the AI Expo Africa from 30 to 31 October 2024 and then visits to ecosystem partners, including researchers, startups, industry players, and investors. Innovation Summit, a leading innovation player in South Africa, will curate this.
There is also an opportunity and expectation to engage with South African Blockchain and AI startups during their visit to Switzerland later in 2024/early 2025.
Eligibility:
Start-ups, innovators and researchers from Switzerland looking to expand or test blockchain and AI solutions that can have an impact in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Funding:
Approx 2,000 CHF for funded travel opportunity.
