Through this call, the SNSF and the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) are funding clinical trials focused on the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases.

Call Details

Researchers from Switzerland and the UK can submit applications for randomised, controlled trials in areas of unmet clinical needs in healthcare. There must already be sufficient evidence from earlier clinical studies in humans demonstrating that the proposed interventions might work. Expertise and patient recruitment activities must be distributed across Switzerland and the UK.

A total of 8.8 million francs is available for this call. The SNSF and the NIHR will fund up to three high-quality joint clinical trials in Switzerland and the UK over a period of up to five years. Evaluations and assessments will be conducted by the SNSF and the NIHR, who will finance the activities in their respective countries.
