The SNSF is participating in the next joint call of the EIG CONCERT-Japan on Sustainable Hydrogen Technology as Affordable and Clean Energy.

EIG Concert-Japan is an international joint initiative that supports and enhances science, technology and innovation cooperation between European countries and Japan. Its primary function is to implement multilateral joint funding activities collaboratively, with the objective of enhancing cooperation and promoting transnational mobility. Its 8th joint call is in the thematic area of Sustainable Hydrogen Technology as Affordable and Clean Energy.

This call for proposals invites Japan and Europe-based researchers to develop more efficient, reliable, flexible and clean hydrogen-based technologies. As a part of this call, researchers are expected to explore areas of research such as: hydrogen production, manufacturing, hydrogen storage and transportation, technology applications and validation, systems modelling and analysis. Cross-sectoral research proposals combining natural and social sciences are welcomed.

Eligibility: Each project consortium submitting an application should consist of at least three eligible principal investigators, one from Japan and two from two different European countries participating in the joint call. Funding: A maximum amount of CHF 250,000 is allocated per project from the swiss side (Please refer to SNSF National Guidelines).
