The Swiss Leading House MENA is pleased to announce the launch of a new funding instrument: the Connect & Collaborate Grants (CCGs). This initiative supports researchers in engaging with diverse audiences, both through academic communication and outreach beyond academic circles, while fostering dialogue across disciplines, sectors, and cultures.

Call Details

Each grant offers up to CHF 5,000 to support targeted communication outputs, such as open access publications, public events, or other formats designed to make research more accessible and impactful. The CCGs are designed to complement existing funding schemes and respond to the specific needs of LHMENA-funded projects, while also encouraging both past grantees and new applicants to enhance their outreach efforts and strengthen collaboration between Switzerland and the MENA region.

The proposal must include at least one academic partner in Switzerland and one in an eligible MENA country. Collaborations may also involve a non-academic partner relevant to the project (e.g., museum, association, NGO, or publisher).

Submission deadline: At least 4 months before the planned activity
Latest possible submission: 31 December 2025
Latest project start date: 30 April 2026
